The Employment Readiness Program (ERP) provides services to military spouses, active duty, retirees, reservists, DOD civilians and their family members.  We offer; employment counseling, local employment and job fair information, assistance with career, educational and volunteer opportunities, a resource library, and employment information and education for youth and adult jobseekers.

Primarily, the ERP assists clients relocating due to a military/civilian sponsor’s permanent change of station (PCS).  Employment Readiness provides accurate, timely information and other supportive services to minimize career impacts associated with a move.

Employment Readiness works closely with the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC), and other agencies providing full employment related services for military/family members and veterans from all branches in their job search and career development.

• Information concerning area professional and trade associations, job re-entry, and temporary employment agencies

• Resume preparation, job search; career dress and interview skills training, on request

Transition Assistance Program

Course Overview:
The Transition Assistance Program (TAP) Workshop is facilitated by Michigan Department of Energy, Labor, and Economic Growth; funded by the Department of Labor; and sponsored by the Employment Readiness Program, Army Community Service.  TAP primarily serves separating/retiring military members and their family members.  However, veterans and other military spouses may attend on a space available basis.

Course Overview:

10 Steps to a Federal Job, taught by Nancy Jo Doubrava-Dull, Certified Federal Job Search Trainer, offers a proven process for federal job search success.  Written by Kathryn Troutman, published author and world-renowned expert on federal careers, 10 Steps primarily serves veterans and military spouses. However, classes are open to others on space available basis.
