Army Family Action Plan
The Army Family Action Plan (AFAP) is input
from the people of the Army to Army leadership.
AFAP is a process that lets Soldiers and their Family
members
say what's working, what isn't working, and what
they think will fix it. AFAP alerts commanders
and Army leaders to areas of concern that need their
attention and it gives them them opportunity to
quickly put plans into place to work toward
resolving the issues.
-
Solicits issues regarding ideas
to improve standards of living.
-
Represents a broad spectrum of
personnel, Active and Reserve service members,
Retirees and family members.
-
Gives community representatives a
grass roots approach to effect Quality of Life
(QoL) issues locally and globally.
-
AFAP is held annually.
-
Proponent agencies work to
resolve issues that come out of AFAP until they are resolved or forwarded
to higher command.
-
AFAP provides to our command
real-time information on concerns, expectations
and needs of the community.
-
AFAP is a process for continuous
QoL improvement for our community.
